Thank you for using OnePlus Connect. OnePlus Connect is operated by OnePlus Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “we” or “us” or “our”) and is an app which can be used to connect and control OnePlus TV. During your use of our accounts, websites, mobile apps, or other products or services, we may collect and use your personal information. In this Privacy Notice, “personal information” or “personal data” refers to all information that can be used alone or in combination with other information to identify a specific natural person.
In this Privacy Notice, we will explain to you about how we handle or process your personal information, as well as the purposes of our collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information, in relation to your use of OnePlus Connect, your rights to your personal information, and the security measures we take to protect it.
Before using OnePlus Connect, please read this Privacy Notice carefully to understand our practices regarding the collection, use, and protection of your personal information. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Notice, you can exit OnePlus Connect by tapping "Exit" and we will not be able to provide you with the services related to OnePlus Connect. By tapping "Agree and continue" to launch OnePlus Connect, you acknowledge that you fully understand the collection and use of personal information and your rights described below.

1. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information
In general, we collect personal information in order to operate more efficiently and provide you with an optimal user experience. Our channels for collecting personal data include:
a. Personal information you provide to us directly;
b. Personal information that we automatically obtain when you use OnePlus Connect; and/or
c. Personal information that we obtain about you from third parties.
The information we collect depends on which of our products you actually use, the environment in which you interact with us, and the choices you make, including your privacy settings, and the devices and features you use. Our products and functions include core service functions and value-added service functions.
The specific types of personal information we collect are detailed below, along with the reason and purpose for the collection and usage of such information:
(A) Even though it is not required for the use of OnePlus Connect, but you may choose to register for an OnePlus account and use this to log-in to OnePlus Connect. During the registration process, we may collect your mobile number or email address, password, and sign-up SMS message so that we can sign you up for an OnePlus Account and assist you in signing in to your account and using related services. If you do not provide such information, we will be unable to create an account for you or assist you in signing in to your account. We may contact you using the aforementioned information for survey or promotional purposes.
(B) You need to sign in to your OnePlus Account if you want to use the feature of Kids Mode. If you choose to use it, we will collect information of the devices connected to your account in order to activate this feature to the selected device.
(C) If you provide feedback to us or use our support services in regard with OnePlus Connect, we will collect information of your TV, such as OS, model, version, serial number; content of your feedback and technical log information about your use of the TV. We may use your personal information to understand your feedback, solve the problem you met and to communicate with you in order to provide you with services or information about our products.
(D) If you are member of OnePlus Red Cable Club program, OnePlus Connect will transfer the identification number of your TV to the program in order for you to be able to link it to your account.
(E) OnePlus Connect might support Google Assistant in order for you to adjust the settings of your TV through voice command. If you choose to use this function, your voice command will be transferred to Google Assistant. This processing will take place locally on your device and your command will not be uploaded on our servers. Please note that we have no control over Google Assistant or other third-party privacy and data protection policies as such third parties are not bound by this Privacy Notice. Before you submit personal information to third parties, please refer to their privacy policies.
(F) We use cookies or similar tracking technologies to better understand the use of our website page, mobile software on your device, how often you use the website or app, what events occur within the app, cumulative usage, performance data, etc. We will not link the information stored in the analysis software to any personal information you submit in the website or mobile app. We also use Cookies or similar tracking technologies to analyze trends, manage websites, track user behaviors on the websites, and collect aggregate demographic information for our user base. We use Google Firebase to analyze our performance of app, you could check Google’s privacy policy for more information.
(G)You need to sign in to your OnePlus Account if you want to use the comment feature. If you choose to use it, we will collect information about the devices linked to your OnePlus Account in order to activate this feature for the selected devices. We will also collect the content of your comments and your OnePlus Account username in order to send the comments to your TV.
Please note that the functions described above might vary depending on the region you reside.

The personal information collected by us will be retained for the minimum period needed to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected as described in this Privacy Notice, unless otherwise specified by applicable laws or regulations. We will completely delete or anonymize your personal information upon the expiration of the retention period, in accordance with applicable law.
If we stop some or all of our products or services for any special reason, we will promptly inform you and stop the collection and processing of your personal information in connection with such products or services, and delete or anonymize your personal information we hold that relates to the products or services, unless otherwise specified by laws and regulations.
3. Your Rights to Your Personal Information
We respect your rights to your personal data. Subject to the applicable law in your jurisdiction, you may have specific rights regarding your personal data. This may include the following rights:
3.1 Right to Be Informed
We inform you of how we process your personal information by publishing this Privacy Notice and, where required by laws and regulations, by posting a notice or sending you an SMS message or email. We are committed to staying open and transparent about how we use your personal information. You can regularly check this Privacy Notice, receive emails and SMS messages which contain a description of the updates to this Privacy Notice, and contact us in the manner disclosed in this Privacy Notice to learn about our collection and use of your personal information.
3.2 Right of Access
You can directly search for or access your personal information in the user interfaces of our products or services. For example, you can sign in to your account from the relevant product page at any time to access your personal information associated with your account.
If you are unable to search for or access your personal information, or if you encounter any problems when accessing your personal information, you can contact us in the manner disclosed in this Privacy Notice to request access to your personal information.
3.3 Right to Rectification
If you find that any of your personal information processed by us is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to request us to correct or complete it. You can directly correct and modify parts of your personal information on the relevant feature page of the product or service.
For any personal information that you cannot modify by yourself, you can contact us in the manner disclosed in this Privacy Notice to have such personal information corrected or completed.
3.4 Right to Erasure
You may choose to delete some of the personal information you have submitted to us. You can delete some of your personal information directly on the relevant feature page of the product or service.
For any personal information that you cannot delete by yourself or personal information that you believe to have been collected or used not in compliance with the agreement between you and us, you can contact us in the manner disclosed in this Privacy Notice to have such personal information deleted.
3.5 Right to Delete Your Account
We grant you the right to delete your OnePlus Account.
(A) You can delete your OnePlus Account via Profile – Settings – Delete my account, by choosing “personal data management”. After you submit a request for deleting your account, we may need to manually review your request in order to make sure that you satisfy the conditions for account deletion, and we will assist you with the deletion when conditions are met. After your request is approved by us, we will delete or anonymize all your relevant personal information, unless otherwise specified by laws and regulations. After your OnePlus Account is deleted, we will no longer be able to provide you with products or services that are only accessible with an OnePlus Account.
You can also directly contact us in the manner disclosed in this Privacy Notice to request us to delete your OnePlus Account. We will record your request, manually review your request to make sure that you satisfy the conditions for account deletion, and assist you with the deletion of your account in accordance with applicable laws. Please note that we may retain your personal information even after deletion for such periods of retention that are mandated under applicable law, post which it will be permanently deleted.
3.6 Right to Withdraw Consent
The performance of certain service function requires certain basic personal information (see the "How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information" section of this Privacy Notice). You can change the scope of the personal information you authorize us to continue to collect or withdraw your authorization by deleting information, turning off the permissions, changing settings on the product or feature settings page, or deleting your account. Specifically:
(A) You may withdraw your consent to our use of your device permissions by turning off the permissions through “Settings” on your phone.
(B) In each commercial advertising message or marketing notification that we send to you, you will be told how to unsubscribe. You can withdraw your consent in the manner described in the message or notification.
If you withdraw your consent, we will no longer be able to provide you with the related services. We will also no longer process related personal information, but the withdrawal of your consent will not affect the processing of the personal information that has been collected previously.
3.7 Right to Complaint
You have the right to make a complaint at any time to the competent supervisory authority for data protection issues. We would, however, appreciate the chance to deal with your concerns before you approach the authority so please contact us directly in the first instance
